# Home page

> Choose where nOps opens when you sign in, and set a default landing page for your team.

## Overview

**Home** is the page nOps opens when you sign in. You choose what it is: a page like Anomalies, or a saved report, cost allocation, or dashboard in Explorer.

The **Home** item at the top of the sidebar shows the name of the page you picked, and one click takes you back to it.

<Note>
  nOps no longer has a separate organization dashboard. Everything it showed now lives in a dedicated place. See [Where things moved](#where-things-moved).
</Note>

## What you see by default

If neither you nor your admin has picked a home page, nOps opens:

* **Anomalies**, if your organization has the Inform plan.
* **Explorer**, otherwise.

## Change your home page

The quickest way is the cog in the sidebar. You don't need to open Settings.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the picker">
    In the sidebar, click the cog next to your **Home** item (**Change home page**). The item is labeled with the page you're on now, such as **Anomalies**. The **Home page** picker opens with the description "Where nOps opens when you sign in."
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose a page">
    Pick one of the following:

    * **Pages:** **Anomalies**, **Recommendations**, or **AI Tracking**. A check mark shows your current home page, and a lock means the page needs a plan upgrade.
    * **Explorer:** **Reports**, **Cost allocation**, or **Dashboards**. Each shows how many you have. Click one to see the list, then pick the report, cost allocation, or dashboard you want.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm">
    Your choice applies right away. The next time you sign in, nOps opens there.
  </Step>
</Steps>

Use the search box at the top of the picker (**Search pages, reports, dashboards**) to find one by name.

### Go back to the default

When you've picked your own home page, a **Set to default** button appears in the picker. Click it to return to your organization's default (or the built-in default if your admin hasn't set one).

<Tip>
  Pick the Explorer dashboard your team checks every morning. You'll land on it each time you sign in. See [Explorer dashboards](/inform/explorer-dashboard).
</Tip>

## Set a default for your organization

Admins can choose where new users land. This is separate from the cog, which only changes your own home page.

1. Go to **Settings → Organization Settings → Organization Details**.
2. In the **Default landing page** card, click **Change default** and pick a page.
3. To remove it, click **Clear org default**. The card then shows "Built-in default (Anomalies or Explorer)."

Members can still pick their own home page. Your default only applies to people who haven't.
