Commitment Inventory is a multi-cloud read-only view of your active Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, Committed Use Discounts, and Azure Reservations. Filter by provider, review utilization on AWS, and share a filtered link with your team. Viewing is included on every nOps plan. You do not need an Inform subscription to open Inventory or load commitment data. Email delivery and recurring schedules for inventory reports still require Inform (see Email and schedules below).

Get started

  1. Sign in to nOps.
  2. In the sidebar, open Optimize → Commitments → Inventory, or go to clara.nops.io/commitment-management/inventory.
  3. Use the All clouds, AWS, GCP, and Azure tabs to focus on one provider or see everything together.

Who can access Inventory

Only Admins and Owners can add or manage cloud integrations in Settings. Members can view Inventory once an integration is active. See Users and roles.

Provider tabs and integrations

Inventory always shows tabs for All clouds, AWS, GCP, and Azure.
  • Active integration — Selecting the tab loads commitments (and AWS utilization when relevant) for that provider.
  • No active integration — Clicking the tab opens a short prompt to connect that provider from your Dashboard instead of switching the table to an empty view.
To connect a provider, use Settings → Cloud Onboarding or follow the provider guides:

AWS

Savings Analysis onboarding, then optional Commitment Management for full inventory reads and purchasing.

Google Cloud

Billing export + service account, then optional Commitment Management for CUD inventory.

Microsoft Azure

Savings Analysis onboarding, then optional Commitment Management for reservation and savings plan inventory.
If Inventory cannot read commitments for a scope (for example, missing commitment-management roles on a subscription), nOps surfaces a warning on the page and links to the matching setup guide. Other connected scopes may still load.

What you see on the page

Summary cards

High-level counts and spend signals across the commitments currently loaded for your filter.

AWS utilization

When AWS is in scope and your organization has an active AWS integration, an AWS utilization panel shows Reserved Instance and Savings Plan utilization trends from Cost Explorer.

Commitments table

Group and sort commitments by account, project, or subscription. Expand a group for type, region, term, hourly commitment, and dates. Use table filters for status, type, and text search.

Refresh and share

  • Refresh reloads inventory and utilization for the active provider filter.
  • Manage reports (bookmark menu) copies a link that preserves your current filters so teammates open the same view.

Email and schedules

Sending a one-off inventory email or creating a recurring schedule from Inventory requires Inform (report_delivery entitlement—the same capability used for Explorer and recommendation report emails). You can also manage existing Inventory email schedules from Inform → Reports when you have access to the Reports page.

Commitment Management setup

Optional AWS, GCP, and Azure guides for purchasing and lifecycle operations—not required just to open Inventory.

Integrations

Connect cloud accounts and see integration health on your Dashboard.

Reports

Manage saved Explorer views, recommendation schedules, budget alerts, and inventory email schedules.

Users and roles

Invite teammates and understand default access to commitment features.
