Overview

nOps can deliver reports and scheduled results to Slack and Microsoft Teams channels, so your team sees cost updates where they already work — no inbox required. Delivery is powered by Knock, the same engine behind nOps email notifications. You connect a workspace once in Settings → Notifications, then choose channels when you send or schedule a report from Explorer, Recommendations, or the Clara Feed.
This is one-way delivery of reports and scheduled results. To ask Clara questions in Slack (@mentions, DMs, follow-up threads), see the conversational Clara Slack Agent instead.
Microsoft Teams delivery is in beta. During beta, a Teams administrator must install the nOps app in your tenant before messages can be delivered. Slack is generally available.

How it works

  • An nOps administrator connects Slack and/or Teams once, at the organization level.
  • Connected channels become available in the channel picker on every report and schedule dialog.
  • When a report is sent (immediately or on a schedule), nOps posts the result to each selected channel, alongside any email recipients.
  • Scheduled deliveries reuse the channels you saved, so recurring reports keep landing in the same place.

Connect Slack

1

Open notification settings

Sign in to clara.nops.io with an account that can manage your organization, then go to Settings → Notifications.
2

Connect your workspace

In the Slack panel, click Connect Slack and complete the OAuth flow. The panel shows a Connected status when finished.
3

Pick channels (optional)

Add the nOps app to any channels you want to deliver to. You can set default channels so new reports are pre-filled with your team’s preferred destinations.
4

Send a test message (optional)

Use Send test to confirm a channel is wired up correctly before scheduling recurring delivery.

Connect Microsoft Teams

1

Install the nOps app in your tenant

During beta, a Teams administrator installs the nOps app in your organization’s Teams tenant so messages can be delivered.
2

Connect Teams in nOps

Go to Settings → Notifications and connect Teams in the Microsoft Teams (Beta) panel. The panel shows a Connected status once the tenant is linked.
3

Select channels

Choose the Teams channels your organization has approved. Add more from the channel picker in any send or schedule dialog.

Deliver to channels

Once Slack or Teams is connected, a Slack / Teams channels picker appears in the delivery dialogs below. Channels and email recipients can be combined in a single send — a report can go to email and one or more channels at the same time.
If Slack or Teams is not connected, the picker links you back to Settings → Notifications to finish setup. Channels you have not connected will not appear as options.

Default channels

Set default channels in Settings → Notifications to pre-select the destinations your team uses most. New report and schedule dialogs start with these defaults selected; you can add or remove channels per send.

Permissions

Security

  • Organization-scoped: An administrator connects each workspace once; the install is bound to your nOps organization.
  • Connected channels only: nOps validates that every selected channel is connected for your organization before delivering.
  • Access controls: Delivery respects the same organization and data access rules as the rest of nOps.

FAQs

Yes. Delivery dialogs accept email recipients and chat channels together, so a single report can reach both.
Teams is in beta. A Teams administrator must install the nOps app in your tenant before messages can be delivered. Slack is generally available.
Make sure Slack or Teams is Connected in Settings → Notifications, and that the nOps app has been added to the channel. Only channels connected for your organization appear as options.
