Portfolio Portal currently works on Model Overview only. Support for other pages — Dashboard, Cost Allocation, Business Unit Economics, and Budgets — is planned but not yet available. If you switch to a portfolio scope elsewhere in the product, you won’t see any effect yet.
How it works
nOps sets up a portfolio for you: one organization is designated the parent, and one or more other organizations become its child companies. This is a setup step done by your nOps account team, not something you configure yourself — see Getting set up. Once your portfolio exists, sign in to the parent organization. If you’re an administrator there, you’ll see a View usage for selector next to the date filter on Model Overview.Viewing your portfolio
On Model Overview, the View usage for selector offers:- All portfolios — a combined roll-up across every organization in the portfolio you administer.
- A single organization — pick one by name to see just its usage.
- The model usage stat cards, trend chart, and platform token mix.
- Spend & budget by client, which breaks out a row per organization when you’re viewing All portfolios — click a client to expand into its projects and per-integration actuals.
- The all-time model leaderboard and model detail panes.
Organizations you can’t see
You only see usage for organizations where you have administrator access. If the portfolio includes an organization you don’t administer, it’s named in a notice below the header:Not included: Acme Corp — you don’t have admin access to that organization. That organization’s data is left out of All portfolios entirely — it’s not partially included or estimated.
Sharing a view
Your scope selection is written into the page URL, so sharing a link reproduces exactly what you were looking at — whether that’s All portfolios or a single organization.Getting set up
Portfolios aren’t self-serve. To get one set up, contact your nOps account team with:- Which organization should be the parent.
- Which organizations should be added as child companies.
- Who should be able to view the combined roll-up (they’ll need administrator access on the parent, and on any child organization they should see).
FAQs
Why don't I see a View usage for selector?
Why don't I see a View usage for selector?
It only appears if you’re signed in to a parent organization and you’re an administrator there. Signing in to a child organization won’t show it, even if that organization belongs to a portfolio elsewhere.
Why is one of my organizations excluded from All portfolios?
Why is one of my organizations excluded from All portfolios?
You need administrator access on that specific organization for its data to be included. It’s still named in the exclusion notice so you know it exists, but its usage isn’t rolled up until you have access.
Does this change anything for users in a child organization?
Does this change anything for users in a child organization?
No. Portfolio Portal only adds a viewing option for portfolio administrators on the parent organization. Users signed in to a child organization see their usual Model Overview, scoped to just that organization.
Will Portfolio Portal expand to other pages?
Will Portfolio Portal expand to other pages?
Yes — Model Overview is the first surface. Expanding to other pages like Dashboard and Cost Allocation is planned.
Is this the same as the Portfolio summary on Budgets?
Is this the same as the Portfolio summary on Budgets?
No. The Portfolio summary cards on Budgets total up your own organization’s budgets — they don’t involve other organizations. Portfolio Portal is specifically about rolling up usage across multiple organizations you administer.
